Mumbai: Career festival 2011, in which Twocircles.net is media partner, will be held on 15 and 16 January 2011 at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering in Byculla, South Mumbai.
Organizers of the carrier fest Associations of Muslim Professionals along with Anjuman-e-Islam, Urdu Markaz and other NGOs have promised bigger and improvised festival this time.
Aamir Edressee, organizer of the fest, said, “We have learnt something from the last career festival and are trying not to repeat the mistakes and also improvise the content, packaging and of course the budget of the overall festival.”

Informing about some new features of the career festival, Edressee said that the first change is the target audience. This year, we have included 8th and 9th standard students along with the senior secondary courses and higher secondary courses students.
Saeed Khan, a social activist, who is also one of the organizers of the fest, complained about the commercialization of education. He said, “Students and parents of Urdu medium school must be aware of the trap by these commercial educational institutions, which charge heavy fees and provide certificates that have no value in the eyes of law.”
The Career Festival was one of the biggest events in Mumbai for Urdu medium school since the last two years that included lectures on different stream of education, meeting with professionals like pilots, anchor of news channels, entrepreneurs, counseling, panel discussions, drama competition, exhibition charts and talk shows.
