New Delhi: The cold wave in the national capital continued Monday with the daytime temperature hovering around 14.6 degrees, six degrees below the average for this time of the year, the weatherman said.
The city recorded a minimum temperature of 6.5 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year. Visibility was normal and flights were running on time at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA).
The maximum temperature was six degrees below average at 14.6 degrees Celsius Monday.
“Mist and mild fog is likely in the morning (Tuesday). Skies will remain clear in the day with maximum temperature settling around 17 degrees Celsius and minimum at 9 degrees Celsius,” said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.
The IMD also said that there could be a possibility of rain Tuesday.
