Kashmir: Another youth died in police action, many wounded in Baramulla

Srinagar: Another youth has been killed in Baramulla, North Kashmir when police opened fire on mourners here in north Kashmir on Monday.

Reports said, hundreds of mourners carrying the body of Faizan Ahmed, who was chased to death allegedly by the force personnel on Saturday, were fired upon near the office of deputy commissioner Baramulla.
In the police action a youth Fayaz Ahmed Khanday of Bunyar, Baramulla died on the spot while two others sustained critical injuries.

Marine commandos fished out the body of a 13-year old Faizan Ahmad Buhroo, a Class 7 student, from river Jhelum in Baramulla town in the afternoon.

A top police officer told Agence India Press that, the body was fished out from the river and it has been handed over to the relatives for burial.

As news of the body being found spread in Baramulla, a mob shouting anti-India slogans took to the streets and indulged in heavy stone pelting on the security forces.

Police opened fire to disperse the mob, resulting in the spot death of one person identified as Fayaz Ahmad Khanday and several wounded.

As the situation deteriorated authorities moved fresh reinforcements in the town to control the situation.
