The bombs were recovered late Tuesday from an auto-rickshaw near the passport office after police got a tip-off.

“We got information that bombs were being carried in an auto-rickshaw. During search operations, we found an auto-rickshaw near the passport office in Sector 2 of Dhruva area. Our police team questioned the driver and found a bag in the auto. Three powerful bombs were kept in the bag,” a police official told IANS.

The bomb disposal squad was called to defuse the bombs.

“We suspect the role of Maoists behind the incident,” the police officer said.
