Hoax bomb call at Gurgaon railway station

By IANS,

Gurgaon : A man, claiming to be calling from Pakistan, created a scare at the Gurgaon railway station Thursday when he said a bomb has been planted on the Bareily-Bhuj Express train, police said.

“The call came to Gurgaon police control room around 12.45 p.m.,” said Gurgaon Police Commissioner S.S. Deswal.

The train, which was coming from Delhi, was stopped and all the passengers were asked to disembark for thorough checking.

“Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) were followed and after a thorough search the call was declared as hoax,” Deswal said.

“We have traced the caller. He will be arrested soon,” the official said.

The train was allowed to leave after a 90-minute search, he added.
