Somdev, ranked 120, beat 139th-ranked Frenchman David Guez 7-6(3), 6-4 Monday.
The Indian next plays third seed and 85th-ranked Ukrainian Illya Marchenko who beat Brazilian Joao Souza 6-1, 6-3.
Wildcard Yuki, 17, went down to top-seeded Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan 1-6, 3-6.
