Jammu: A junior commissioned officer in the Indian Army was found hanging in his barrack in the cantonment area here Saturday, a military spokesperson said.
Police have registered a case of suicide. The incident took place in Domana on the Jammu-Akhnoor road, about 10 km from here.
The dead officer, who returned from leave after two months, was found hanging from the ceiling fan. “A court of inquiry has been ordered,” the spokesperson said.
