Bangalore: Popular Front of India organized “School Chalo” program on May 30th to spread the message of education. This program was held in Tank Garden area of Bangalore.
More than 250 students who participated in this program. Majority of students were from the Govt School and from an economically challenged background. The students walked around the area with the slogans on the cards to spread the message of education.
Students identified after survey, who passed the exam with merit were felicitated in this program. School Chalo program is organized every year by Popular Front of India. This program is conducted through out the state, in which the students from the weaker section of the society are given scholarship to pursue their studies.
500 note books were also distributed among the poor children in the school.
