Beijing : Infectious diseases led to the death of at least 1,419 people in China in July, the health ministry said Wednesday.
More than 770,000 cases of infections were reported last month, including six cases of cholera, Xinhua reported.
Cholera is categorised as Class A infectious disease – the most serious under China’s Law on the Prevention and Treatment of Infectious Diseases.
Around 350,000 cases of Class B diseases were reported.
