UAE holds religious lectures on Ramadan

Abu Dhabi : The health ministry of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has organised religious lectures for employees in Abu Dhabi to increase awareness on the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

The lectures are being organised by the Government Communication Department to educate the community on the importance of fasting and its impact on the body and soul.

Sheikh Shawki Abdul Lateef, consultant of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Awqaf in Egypt, delivered a lecture about the ways of protecting the body from diseases by following religious rituals such as fasting and prayers.

The lecture also dealt with the Islam’s attention to hygiene in food and clothing.
