Kozhikode: The first Indian Hajj flight of this year will fly from the Karippur International Airport in Malappuram on September 29. The Saudi Airlines flights will take pilgrims to Jeddah via Madeena.
More than 7000 pilgrims are going for the Hajj from Kerala this year under the Hajj Committee. Karippur is the embarkation point for pilgrims from Pondicherry, Mahe and Lakshadweep also, besides Kerala.
The study class for those selected for the Hajj under the state Hajj Committee will take place in the Hajj House near the Karippur Airport on September 3. Minister PK Kunjalikkutty will inaugurate the programme, according to reports.
