Mumbai : Amid contradictory reports on his health, Anna Hazare was expected to reach Mumbai Monday evening where preparations for his three-day fast are on.
“He (Hazare) will start from his village Ralegan-Siddhi around 3 p.m. by road and is expected to reach Mumbai by 8 p.m,” an aide told IANS.
“Hazare is running a fever and cough, so he skipped his morning walk today (Monday),” he added.
“But there is no change in his plans for the agitation. Once he is determined to do something, nothing can stop him,” the aide said.
However, another close aide, Suresh Pathare, said Hazare was fit and his fever had subsided.
Hazare will agitate for a strong Lokpal bill Tuesday at the MMRDA Ground in Bandra-Kurla Complex where preparations are currently on by volunteers and his supporters.
There is tight security in and around the venue with police personnel deployed at the approach roads to the ground, which is situated in the vicinity of sensitive locations like Bharat Diamond Bourse, the US Consulate and the British Consulate.
