Berlin : At least 10 people were killed and 40 injured in a collision between two trains in eastern Germany late Saturday night, according to media reports.
A cargo train collided with a passenger train at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour near the town of Hordorf.
The regional passenger train was derailed by the impact of the collision.
The injured, some of whom were reported to be in a critical state, were
rushed to local hospitals.
Heavy fog at the time of the accident complicated the rescue mission.
