Kolkata: Hospital chain Fortis Healthcare has plans to invest Rs.600 crore soon in West Bengal, a top executive of the company said Saturday.

“We have already invested Rs.300 crore and have plans to double it soon,” Shivinder Singh, managing director of Fortis Healthcare, told reporters on the sidelines of an interactive session between West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and industrialists here.

“We have invested in the state and wanted to hear from the new government about its stand. I think the meeting has gone well,” he said.

Stating that good governance was conducive for growth, Singh said: “A lot will depend on how they are going to take it forward.”
