Lucknow: The Babri Masjid Action Committee (BMAC) in a meeting on Sunday in Lucknow expressed its displeasure over the (in) action taken by the central government in wake of Liberhan Commission report.
“No serious effort has been done by the central government after the findings of Liberhan Commission were made available. It is sad development and the government should not sit over the report,” said Convenor, BMAC, Zafaryab Jilani.
Putting forth the demands, Jilani stated that for speedy disposal of the cases related to Babri Masjid there should be a day to day hearing for speedy disposal of the case. The other demands include inclusion of charge of criminal conspiracy in the demolition case pending at CBI court in Raibareilly. “The CBI should be instructed not to dispose the case in a hurry but present evidences and witnesses for punishing the culprits,” he said. Jilani also favoured inclusion of the names of those who are left out by CBI from the list of 68 persons as mentioned by Liberhan Commission report.
The BMAC meeting also discussed the High Court’s judgment of September 30, 2010 and it was apprised that four appeals have been filed in the apex court by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) and five more will be filed after receiving the judgment copy.
