Lucknow: For getting the real story behind Samjhatua Express and Malegaon blasts, Lok Jan Shakti (LJS) chief Uma Bharti will soon meet jailed terror accused Sadhwai Pragya and Swami Aseemanand.
“I want to get the real story behind implication of Swami Aseemanand and Sadhwi Pragya in these blasts. I have submitted my request for meeting them with the concerned authorities,” said Uma Bharti who was in the city to attend her felicitation function organised by Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) in Triloki Nath Hall of Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) on Sunday.
Lashing out at the UPA government, Uma Bharti stated that the central government has failed to stick one approach. “For once they blamed Pakistan terrorists and later Hindu fundamentalists. Now another theory is that Hindu fundamentalist have relations with Pakistan’s ISI. They are spinning several theories with only one intention to implicate RSS in the whole incident,” she said. She stated that due to these steps by central government the rift between Hindus and Muslims is further widening.
“Even if after 60 years of independence we have to clarify that there is ill feeling between the two communities, it is not healthy sign,” said Uma Bharti. She stated that Hindu organisations can act well and bridge the gap between the communities. “Surgery knife may be painful but essential for treatment, the time will come when both communities will live in peace and harmony and I am continuing my efforts in this field,” she said.
For the backwardness among Muslims, Uma Bharti blamed the Muslim leadership and the religious clerics. “They may have changed the political agenda of several parties but have failed to uplift their community,” she said.
Regarding a query for her returning to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Uma Bharti did not give a straight answer. “UP is close to my heart as it has Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura which are inseparable from me. The state has maximum number of poor and downtrodden and I want to alleviate their sufferings,” she said. When pressed further she parted with remark: “It will be answered by Nitin Ghadkari.”
City Mayor Dr Dinesh Sharma and Convenor MRM Afzal Ahmed were also present on the occasion.
