National minority education seminar to be held in Kozhikode

Kozhikode: A national-level seminar on minorities’ education will be held in Kozhikode on May 28. The seminar is organised by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions and the Kerala Minorities Education Council. Institutions run by the different education agencies and religious organisations can attend the seminar.

The seminar will discuss the problems faced by minorities’ education institutions and their solutions. Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan will inaugurate the get-together of minorities’ representatives in the morning. National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions chairman Js MSA Siddiqui will preside over the session. Authorities of various institutions attending the seminar can have a face-to-face with Mr Siddiqui in the afternoon. Human Resources Development Minister Kapil Sibal will inaugurate the national seminar. State Education Minister MA Baby will preside over the session. National Minority Women’s Education Committee chairperson Dr Shabisthan Ghaffar and member Dr Syriac Thomas will speak.

Three persons can attend representing an institution. Those who wish to participate should register within May 10.
