Srinagar: To highlight the life and contribution of Imam Abu Hanifa (RA), popularly known as Imam-e-Azam, in Islamic jurisprudence, the Jammu & Kashmir Anjuman Ulma-i-Ahnaf has decided to organize a conference on 6th July at B.Ed. College in Srinagar. Prominent religious scholars from across the country will address the conference.
The decision to hold the conference was taken at the executive council meeting of Aunjuman on Tuesday 24th May. The meeting was attended by imams of major shrines and mosques of the area along with others.
The Imam-e-Azam conference will be attended by prominent religious scholars from across the country, including Maulana Mufti Mukaram, Imam of Fatehpuri Masjid, Delhi, Mufti Mohammed Akhtar, Dargah Haji Ali, Mumbai, Maulana Mohammad Yousuf, All India Muslim Foundation and Maulana Yaseen Akhtar, President All India Imam Organization.
According to the organizers, Anjuman’s “Imam Azam” magazine will also be released on the occasion.
