New Delhi : A Delhi court Thursday took cognisance of the charge sheet filed in the Israeli embassy car blast case by police who accused arrested journalist Syed Mohammad Kazmi of conspiring with foreigners for the Feb 13 attack.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Vidya Prakash took cognisance of the formal set of charges and decided to next hear the matter Aug 23.
Police charge sheet, filed July 31, named Iranian nationals Houshang Afshar Irani, Masod Sedaghatzadeh, Syed Ali Mehdi Sadr and Mohammed Reza Abolghasemi as the other suspects.
Kazmi was charged under various provisions of the anti-terror law, Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), and the penal provision for attempt to murder, among others. He was arrested March 6 for his alleged involvement in the bombing.
