Gurgaon : Over Rs.11 lakh was looted from two executives of a foreign currency converter firm in Delhi, police said Friday.
According to police, a man called the foreign currency converter firm in Delhi’s Rajendra Place and said he wanted to exchange US dollars worth Rs.11 lakh. The caller told the firm to bring the money to house number 104 in Sector 38, Gurgaon.
As Sandeep and Rahul parked their motorcycle near the house, a car hit them from behind.
“The assailants hit Rahul on his head with an iron rod. When he fainted, the two robbers fled with the bag containing over Rs.11 lakh,” said a police officer.
Sandeep and Rahul were admitted to a private hospital in Gurgaon.
A case has been registered in Sadar Police Station.
