Mumbai : The Maharashtra government plans to introduce air-conditioned in city to serve major commercial hubs, Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan said Friday.
Chavan said the service would cater to Mumbai city and suburbs and enable people an affordable, faster and comfortable option of commuting to and from their homes and offices.
“The buses would belong to the existing BEST fleet which already offers 210 air-conditioned services on 28 routes,” Chavan said.
The proposal is to connect commercial and business hubs like Cuffe Parade, Nariman Point, Churchgate, Worli, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Andheri east and west, Malad west, Navi Mumbai and other trade centres.
