JIH West Bengal plans a new headquarters at Rajarhat-Newtown Megacity

Kolkata: Jamaat–e-Islami Hind West Bengal have taken an initiative to establish a new State headquarters in Rajarhat-Newtown Megacity area. That office will be big enough to house guest house, technical training centre etc. Amir of West Bengal JIH, Md Nuruddin informed Twocircles.net that, the Jamaat purchased one Bigha land in Rajarhat megacity area, beside the IT hub of West Bengal.

Current office of the state JIH is located at Lenin Sarani, Esplanade area of Kolkata. “This office has been running at this place for a long time but due to space constraints we couldn’t function properly,” said Nuruddin.

Jamat purchased one Bigha prime land on May 28, 2012 and 10 Kattah for West Bengal Welfare Trust, a sister organization of Jamat working for social development & welfare of the West Bengal Muslim.

Construction of the New Head office to be start soon, said Nuruddin. He also told TwoCircles.net that, a health centre, assistance to poor people, Islamic Cultural Centre, Guest House, Computer Training Centre will be made within the complex of Jamat & Welfare Trust areas. Beside this they are finding the places for a Madarsa like Jamiatul Falah, said Jamat official of West Bengal.

Jamat-e-Islami Hind is active in the field of social works in West Bengal like establishment of educational institutions, micro-finance etc.
