New Delhi: The 12th Five Year Plan is in the last stages of being finalized. A group of eminent citizens have floated an appeal seeking public’s critique of the plan and suggestions for making the next plan more inclusive and responsive to the needs of the marginalized.
The note circulated asks members of the public to go to the Planning Commission of India’s website and look for steering committee and working group reports of various ministries. Many ministries have not uploaded the reports as yet.

send us your responses according to the following parameters:
1. Problems in design of existing schemes or conceptual problems in dealing with the issue of the minority community;
2. Problems that the suggested schemes are likely to face due to inherent design problems.
3. Problems in implementing the existing schemes from your experience on the ground.
4. New schemes which should have been suggested and are not there.
5. Any other measures required as part of the planning process to ensure that minorities attain their rights as equal citizens.
6. Or any other data you feel is relevant for the working group of Planning Commission
