New Delhi : Four government bungalows allotted to the Bahujan Samaj Party in the heart of the national capital have unauthorised constructions and party chief and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati has been asked to get these removed, a Right to Information (RTI) query has revealed.
One of the bungalows has been alloted to Mayawati by name, one to National President BSP, one to President BSP and one to Chairman Managing Trustee, Bahujan Prerna Trust. All four bungalows are located on Gurdwara Rakabgunj Road in the vicinity of Parliament House.
According to the response to the RTI query, the Central Public Works Department wrote to Mayawati Feb 6 to demolish the unauthorised constructions. This was after a CPWD team visited the four bungalows Feb 4.
While a temporary structure of 145 sq. m. has been erected in Bungalow No.4, there is a temporary and two permanent structures with an encroachment of 238 sq. m. in Bungalow No.12.
A permanent structure of 197.40 sq. m. has been found in Bungalow No.14 allotted in Mayawati’s name, while temporary structures totalling 180.50 sq. m. and permanent structures of 300.86 sq. m. have been found in Bungalow No.16.
