New Delhi : The Congress attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Friday, saying it looked a splintered group.
“Looked from a distance, the BJP presents the spectacle of one president, one super president and a couple of hyper presidents,” spokesperson Manish Tewari told reporters.
Taking a dig at the BJP, he said Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi had forced the party to “sacrifice” a senior leader, Sanjay Joshi, so that he attends the national executive meet in Mumbai.
According to Tewari, the BJP had not reconciled to its defeat in the Lok Sabha polls of 2004 and 2009. “This has put the BJP into a spiral where anything constructive is far from their horizon.”
