New Delhi: Vice President of India Mohd. Hamid Ansari on Wednesday released the book “The Role of Muslims in the Indian Freedom Struggle 1857-1947” at his official residence. The book in three volumes has been brought out by Institute of Objective Studies (IOS). Prof. Refaqat Ali Khan is the General Editor of the volumes.
Vol. I is about Delhi and Haryana, Vol. II about Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala) and Vol. III about Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.

At the book launch were present eminent intellectuals including Prof. Z.M. Khan, Secretary General, IOS, Prof. Refaqat Ali Khan, Academic Director, IOS, and Mr. Akhilesh Mittal, Eminent Historian.
