Jordanian ambassador visits Aligarh Muslim University

Aligarh : The Jordanian Ambassador Mr. Mohamad Sharari El Bakheit El Fayez visited Aligarh Muslim University today along with two diplomatic officials and met AMU Vice Chancellor, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Zameer Uddin Shah and Pro-Vice Chancellor, Brigadier Syed Ahmad Ali.

Discussing various issues of students, the Jordanian Ambassador expressed satisfaction on the academic and residential facilities provided by the University to overseas students. He said that Aligarh Muslim University commands respect in Jordan and it is considered a great centre of knowledge and enlightenment.

Welcoming the visiting dignitary, the Vice Chancellor, Lt. Gen. Shah assured that the University will provide all possible facilities to the overseas students and that AMU was willing to accommodate more students coming from Jordan and other counties. He appealed to the Jordanian delegation to inspire their nationals to take admission in AMU in large numbers.
The Ambassador also visited the Department of English and Linguistics and conveyed warm wishes of their countrymen to the teachers who taught the Jordanian students. Mr. El Fayez interacted with the Jordanian students and enquired about their academic and research activities.

Earlier, Assistant Proctor, Dr. Iqbal Siddiqui and AMU PRO, Dr. Rahat Abrar welcomed the visiting dignitary at the University Guest House and accompanied them during their visit.
