Pedestrian deaths decline in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: There has been over 20 percent reduction in the number of pedestrian deaths in Abu Dhabhi in last nine months.

According to the Committee for reducing pedestrian deaths in Abu Dhabi’s Police Traffic and Patrol Directorate, a 20.7 percent decline has been witnessed, with ony 46 deaths being recorded between Jan 1 and Sep 31 this year compared to 58 registered last year in the same period.

This was revealed during the committee’s meeting held at the directorate and presided by Colonel Hamad Mubarak Al Ameri, director general of the capital police traffic department.
