WBMDFC to provide coaching to minorities for Group D jobs

Kolkata: West Bengal Minorities Development Finance Corporation (WBMDFC) is going to provide free information for the jobs, as well as coaching to minority youths for the Group – D jobs, constable, and security guards in government as well as private sectors.

WBMDFC has also been preparing students for the union public service commission examinations (UPSC) and WBCS (West Bengal Civil Service) in collaboration with Aliah University.

Besides the scholarships, stipends and loans to the minority youths, state government runs West Bengal Minorities Development Finance Corporation (WBMDFC) has now also been taking initiatives to empower minority sduents and help them get level playing fields in competitions.

Chairman of WBMDFC, Abu Ayesh Mondal told TCN that the informations related to jobs and coaching have already been uploaded on the WBMDFC website (www.wbmdfc.org).

He further informed that coaching is starting from today for unemployed minority youths of Kolkata at the Haj Bhawan in Park Circus.

WBMDFC is targeting 2 Lac unemployed Muslims throughout the state, Abu Ayesh Mondal told TCN.

Giving minority girls special attention, WBMDFC is preparing them for the posts of lady constables in police.

Muslim girls who have passed Madhyamik (Secondary) examinations and are of the age 18-27 years are eligible to apply for vacancy of 2940 posts between 22 April and 22 May, 2013.

Many minority students are cannot apply for the jobs as they do not have proper information regarding vacancy and requirements and how to prepare for those. WBMDFC aims to fill that gap and become an important data base for job seeking minority youths in the state, informed, Abu Ayesh Mondal.

WBMDFC chairman also informed that several other departments of West Bengal and Government of India are also recruiting constables throughout the year viz CISF, GRP, CRP, BSF etc. Besides, private security agencies are also recruiting security guards in West Bengal.

At least 10 security guard agencies are recruiting the security guards for deployment at different government as well as private offices, factories, industries and residential complexes.

Besides several other vacancies for nursing staff / medical staffs, computer operators, etc – both government and private – are also available from time to time.

The website of WBMDFC also provides the information of important government departments, institutes of higher education, etc. It also has details of Maulana Azad Education Foundation, Delhi for Scholarship to the Muslim girl students, those who have more than 60% marks in Madhyamik / HS exam and hostel facilities for boys and girls in government recognized schools / Madrasah etc.

Several Muslim organizations expressed their happiness at such an initiative by WBMDFC. A spokesman of SNAP, a city based grass root organization, Amirul Alam hoped that coaching facilities will be extended to all the districts of the state in near future.

He also urged the WBMDFC to publish and circulate bulletins in all Madras of the state as reach of internet is still limited.
