Islamabad : At least seven people, including a senior police officer, were killed Thursday at the funeral of a slain police officer in Pakistan’s Quetta city, a leading Pakistani daily said.
The blast also injured at least 25 people and the condition of several others was stated to be critical, The Dawn reported.
According to media reports, the loud blast rocked the funeral of station house officer Mohibullah, who was shot dead earlier Thursday morning by unknown gunmen in Killi Almo area of the capital city of Balochistan province.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police-Operations Fayyaz Sumbal died on the spot, according to DawnNews.
