New Delhi : A six-year-old boy was found dead, his throat slit, at his house here Tuesday morning, police said.
The killing was reported from east Delhi’s Maujpur around 7.30 a.m.
The boy, identified as Prince alias Saurya, a kindergarten student, was staying with his father while his mother had gone to her father’s home a few days ago after a dispute with her husband.
“Since then the father was in depression and he used to beat his son,” said a police officer, citing the neighbours.
“Police suspect the boy’s father is behind the murder, but the reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained. And evidence also has to be found. A case of murder has been registered and probe is on. The boy’s post-mortem report is awaited,” said the officer.
