New Delhi : British Prime Minister David Cameron Thursday faced a barrage of questions from students at a girls’ college here on job opportunities in his country for women from India.
Cameron, who is on a three-day visit to India, interacted with students at the Janki Devi Mahavidyalaya here for around 20-30 minutes and was greeted by loud cheers from students when he walked in with actor Aamir Khan.
Wearing a blue suit, the British prime minister was close to groups of students and interacted at length with them on various issues, including gender inequality.
“We questioned him on job opportunities for us in his country and basically what he thought of women and their role in society,” said Shanti, a student of the college.
Aamir, dressed in a grey hooded sweatshirt and a black blazer, said the students mainly had questions on gender equality and educational opportunities.
