Mumbai: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind(JIH), Mumbra organised a 15 days campaign from December 28 to January 13 against various narcotics and tobacco products, which consumption may prove fatal like ghutka, cigarettes, charas, afeem, alcohol, tobacco, etc., ending in a rally public conference on the last day.
Thousands of people including school students, women, NGO’s, associates of SIO (Students Islamic Organisation of India), GIO (Girls Islamic Organisation of India), JIH Women Wing, IFC(Islamic Friends Circle), Mumbra Voice Foundation, various social leaders, joined the rally raising slogans against drugs which started from Mumbra Station at around 4pm and ended to the conference venue.
Among the invites for the conference were our Chief Guest Dr. Yusuf Matcheswala (M.D.(Psy), M.D.(Forensic), D.P.M, F.I.P.S) and Dr. Akbar Gabrani (BUMS (S.V.U), P.G. Dip. Coun. Psy.), Mr.Aslam Gazi(Seceretay JIH Maharashtra), Mr. Feroz Khan(Vice President – Mumbra Voice Foundation), Mr. Zafar Ansari(President JIH Mumbra), Mr. Khurshid Ahmad(Thane District Organizer-JIH Maharashtra), Moulana Shafeeq Madni (President Mumbra – Jamiat ul olema), Maulan Abduul Raheem(Representative of Moin Miya) Prof. Jawed Shaikh(Asst. Professor Kalsekar Engineering College- Panvel).
Dr. Yusuf Matcheswala in his speech said that to develop our country and to improve the situation as well as condition of our current generation it our duty to keep them away from drugs. He pointed that most among the drugs consumer are school, College students and the poor children’s from slum. He also told to create an awareness of the consequences of drugs among people and student with the help of such campaigns and finally control and stop them from consuming drugs.
Dr. Ali Akbar Gabrani address the Gathering along with Presentation and told that we have reach till Moon even we have time for doing other work but don’t have time for our children and family and if we’ll not look out for our children then who else will? So keep a keen view on all your children’s activities as your family is your city and country. If your family will stay away from drugs then your city and country will be away from drugs.
