Gurgaon builder to be booked for violation

By IANS,

Chandigarh : Following a complaint by Haryana’s town and country planning (TCP) department, the district administration in Gurgaon has asked police to lodge a case against a builder for making bookings of flats without the TCP’s permission.

“The first information report (FIR) will be registered against Pareena Infrastructure Private Limited as the developer has made an advertisement for booking of flats and plots on internet without obtaining prior permission from town and country planning department,” a spokesman said here Tuesday.

He said the builder had advertised on internet for flats and plots in a “new project” in sector 99-A on Dwarka-Gurgaon Expressway but without obtaining the department’s prior permission, as required under Section 3 of the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Area Act.

“By doing so, the developer has contravened section 7 (i) which is a cognizable offence as per provisions of the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Area Act 1975. The DTP (district town planner) has requested Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), Gurgaon to investigate the matter and lodge FIR against the offender as well as the property dealers ‘Kushmha’, which is online partner of the developer, and also against ‘Shree Properties’, who advertised and booked the properties in the name of this project,” the spokesman said.

Gurgaon town, adjoining New Delhi, in Haryana has seen big development in the past two decades. Leading industrial and commercial establishments and MNCs have their base in and around Gurgaon. Residential and commercial property in the town is much in demand.
