New Delhi : Both houses of parliament were adjourned Monday till noon following an uproar over the formation of Telangana.
As soon as the Lok Sabha met, members opposing the division of Andhra Pradesh raised slogans demanding that Andhra Pradesh remain united.
This led Speaker Meira Kumar to adjourn the house till 12 noon.
In the Rajya Sabha too, the members from Andhra Pradesh raised slogans.
As soon as the house met, Chairman Hamid Ansari first adjourned the house for 10 minutes.
Even after the first adjournment, the protests continued and then the chairman adjourned the house till noon.
