Islamabad : A Pakistani journalist Thursday took on Sunanda Pushkar, wife of Indian minister Shashi Tharoor, on twitter after she was accused of stalking him.
“The blonde’s ‘aqal’ (brain) is weaker then her grammar and spellings. From an ‘affair’ it has become ‘stalking’… make up (your) mind… Which one is it?” tweeted Mehr Tarar without naming Pushkar.
On Wednesday, Tharoor tweeted that his account has been hacked. Published reports Thursday quoted Pushkar as saying there was trouble in the marriage.
Tarar tweeted Thursday: “So I ‘stalk’ on bbm and phone. The last I checked it was a two-way thing, or maybe technology changed while I ‘stalked’?”
In another tweet, she said: “The wife trashed the husband. Now doing WTH damage control. Isse kehte hain apne hee giraate hain nashemaan pe biljlian…”
Tarar’s twitter page describes her as a mother, a former Op-ed Editor of Pakistani newspaper Daily Times and a columnist.
There were a flurry of tweets from her Friday.
“My name is Mehr, and I am not an ISI agent. Or RAW. Or CIA. Or Mossad. Or even the dead KGB. May I go now?” she tweeted.
Another tweet said: “The only reason why I’m not responding to her trashing me. I respect Dr T very very much. I have nothing more to say.”
Tarar went on to tweet that “for a woman to trash another woman linking her w/her husband is the lowest form of sickness ever. It’s nauseous. No respect for her marriage”.
