Chennai : After tasting success at the Centre and following it up in Maharashtra and Haryana, the BJP is hoping to replicate the success story in Tamil Nadu, said party leaders here.
Speaking at the state BJP’s executive meeting held near here, party leaders said the people are looking for an alternative to the AIADMK and the DMK.
The meeting was chaired by union Minister and BJP in-charge for Tamil Nadu Rajiv Pratap Rudy.
The priority will be to bring Tamil Nadu agenda to the national level, he said
Party leaders also appealed to the cadres to work hard to achieve the target of winning more than 120 seats out of total 234 in the state assembly elections in 2016.
Senior BJP leader Muralidhar Rao told the media here that the BJP is now seen as an alternative and not merely a north Indian party.
