JIH organized Business Seminar and Exhibition in Mumbra

Thane: In order to promote entrepreneurship a 4th Micro, Small Business Summit and Made in Mumbra Exhibition was organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) Mumbra in collaboration with Young Entrepreneur Forum & Alfurqan Trust.

A 12 hour exhibition was organized on April 3 just outside Mumbra Railway station which was visited by 5000 people. The exhibition saw more than 35 businesses from Mumbra exhibiting their industrial ventures in neatly placed stalls that was divided in five sections – Industrial, Digital, Skill development and Women entrepreneurs.

Exhibition was inaugurated by Vinay Kumar, Assistant Director of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises- Development Institute (MSME-DI) Mumbai, Vinay Agwan, Vice President Chamber of commerce of Small Scale Industries Association (COSIA) & Mufti Sharif Sabri Sahib, Ameer Sunni Islahi Tahreek Thane.
Seminar sessions on various government schemes for existing and beginner entrepreneurs were conducted. Vinay Kumar shared in-depth knowledge of the activities being held by MSME. He gave details on how Mumbra businessmen and entrepreneurs can advance their businesses by registering their companies with MSME, which provides assistance with startups, training, Barcoding, ISO Certification , sale and exports.

Vinay Agwan provided very useful information related to training & skill development of required workforce and offered that they can help entrepreneurs to quote tenders in all government related projects. He said that COSIA offers their services to those entrepreneurs who find difficulty in dealing with Government employees and paper work. He emphasized to get registered with COSIA as well as Udyog AADHAR.

Ashraf Muhammadi of Rehbar Financial consultant Pvt. Ltd. sketched an excellent map on Interest Free Business Finance and the benefits one can avail there from.. “Interest free banking brings investors and businessmen closer and both are benefitted”, Muhammadi said.

A special session on Opportunities for Women was also held, in which COSIA’s General Secretary Ninad Yayant and Sajit Nair of Yuva Parivartan emphasized upon women empowerment and opportunities for women such as tailoring, cake making, bakery products, other businesses which can be run from home.
Nikhat Mohammadi delivered motivational talk on women entrepreneurs with reference to Hazrat Khadija (R.A), first wife of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) . Afzal Baig Secretary Entrepreneurship Dept. Zafar Ansari, a senior member of JIH from Mumbra, said that apart from being directly beneficial to the business class, such programs will also serve to highlight the wide spectrum of Islam – that it is not merely confined to masajid, but is here to solve the issues of all mankind.

Muazzam Asre, President of JIH Mumbra promised that JIH will continue to guide and motivate the entrepreneurs of Mumbra Kausa.
