New Delhi : BJP’s Lok Sabha MP from Chandauli, Mahendra Nath Pandey, has been an active member of the party in Uttar Pradesh for a long time.
Pandey, 58, is one of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Brahmin faces in Uttar Pradesh.
He has held several positions in the party and got elected as a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1991 for the first time.
Pandey also served as Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development in the Uttar Pradesh government in 1997.
He studied at Banaras Hindu University and holds a masters degree in journalism.
Pandey, who was born in Ghazipur, is based in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi.
