Aligarh : The Aligarh Muslim University has constituted two member Fact Finding Inquiry Committee (FFIC) to look into the unruly incident, which took place in the Department of Political Science. Professor Sibghatullah Farooqui is the chairperson of the committee with Professor Rahimullah Khan as a member. The committee will submit its report within 10 days.
Earlier, a students had a tussle at political science department after admission of few students were cancelled. University officials had claimed that these admissions were given erroneously and had been cancelled to rectify the error. Students however claimed that university did not take any action against the verifying officer (teacher) who had given them admission.
When their admissions were cancelled several students protested and demanded that action should be taken against the teacher who had verified and given them admission. In the tussle one student received injury.
