“The word Ramzan itself gives me a sense of peace and relief. The feeling of Ramzan in the close-knit family here in downtown is totally different from the suburb,” says Shaheena a mother of two girls who lives in a rented house in downtown Srinagar.
“I fast the whole month now but I remember when I was in my teens used to go in the bathroom carrying some food items and eat those there,” said Shaheena with a mischievous smile.
“Ramzan is also a bit hectic , especially for women, but in that too there are blessings of Allah.”
