AMUTA Elections: Prof Hamid Ali Khan is new President

Aligarh: ​​Prof Hamid Ali Khan (Department of Petroleum Studies) has been elected as the President of the Aligarh Muslim University Teachers Association (AMUTA) after the election results were declared in late hours of Thursday night.

Prof Najmul Islam (Department of Bio-Chemistry, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College) was declared as the new ​Honorary Secretary, while Dr M Kalimullah (Department of Law) was elected as the Joint-Secretary.

The newly elected AMUTA Executive Committee members are Dr Musavvir Ali (Department of Mathematics), Dr M Ayaz (Civil Engineering Section, University Polytechnic—Boys), Dr Mohammad Swalehin (Department of Sociology), Mr Imtiaz Ahmad Khan (Electrical Engineering Section), Dr Aziz Faisal (Centre for Women’s Studies), Dr Rafiuddin (Urdu Academy), Mr Abdur Rahman (Department of Fine Arts) and Mr Danish Mahmood (Department of Museology).

Prof Naeem Ahmad Khan (Department of Ilmul Advia) was the Chief-Election-Officer.
