Yadav, who has been openly speaking against the leadership of Akhilesh Yadav, said that he will either form a new party or join Congress.

Yadav, the MLA from Jaswant Nagar and ex-cabinet minister said February would be the month of a decisive fight. Yadav said, “If Neta ji (Mulayam) stands by me, I will form a new party named Samajwadi Lokdal otherwise I will simply join the Congress.”

Yadav said that he is in talks with “his people” about what to do in next few days. Yadav said, “I have suffered enough in past few days, now it is the time to show the power.”

It has been more than a year since the turmoil in the Samajwadi Party started when Akhilesh Yadav, the then chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, was fighting an in-family fight over the ticket distribution with his uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav.

The issue went cold as the state assembly election was on the watch and the party had to gear up for the election purposes.

While addressing media outside Mainpuri district jail, where Shivpal Singh Yadav went for an observational visit, Yadav said, “I cannot wait anymore. I will have to take a decision. I have well differentiated the Apne aur Paraye.”

“I have given enough time to the Samajwadi Party. If Neta ji decides to not to come with me, I can understand as his blessings will always with me,” added veteran SP leader.

Yadav further said, “I am in talks with various leaders of Congress including Rahul Gandhi and Raj Babbar. I am also lining up various socialist leaders, in case if I have to form a new party.”
