Alwar lynching: family offered compensation

Rakbar Khan alias Akbar from Nuh district of the state fell victim to mob lynching in Rajasthan “on mere suspicion of cow smuggling” on 21st July.  Rakbar alias Akbar is survived by his wife, four daughters and 3 sons. The eldest child a daughter is 14 years old while the youngest is a toddler.

The Haryana Waqf Board Chairman Raheesha Khan has announced assistance of Rs 3 lakh to the family while Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has announced a financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh.

Rakbar’s father Suleiman has said that it is justice that they hope for and want from the Government. But as of now an amount of Rs.8 lakhs has been announced as a compensation which may take time to reach the victim’s family.

As for justice we may have to wait for a longer time.
