Riaz Ahmad is from Bangalore. He has been here since Childhood. He has been in the shop for the past 10 years. He lives in Bangalore with his mother, wife, and two daughters.
He says, “Everyone in my family is fasting. Since childhood I love the month of Ramzan. In Ramzan I never spend money unnecessarily. Whatever I can save I give to the poor. I have noticed that when people eat a lot, they fight, they get angry. But during this month the same people transform. Ramazan brings peace, during fasting you never feel angry. We do everything with a cool state of mind. We talk to everybody with love and respect. The body’s health also improves. Ramazan is very important for me.”
When I asked him how is business is going these days, he adds, “ business! business ka parwa nahi, Allah rehmat kar raha hai.”
