Popular front of India start a new chapter in Malegaon, Maharashtra

Popular front of India, which is a non profit voluntary organisation, founded in 2006 is expanding it’s social activities in Maharashtra. After Mumbai and Pune, it has now inaugurated a new chapter in Malegaon last week.

The first activity held for the inauguration of the Malegaon chapter was a workshop on legal awareness which was attended by hundred of youth.

The participants were explained about First Investigation Report (FIR), Right To Information (RTI), Indian Penal Code (IPC), Judiciary, Administrative Systems, Human Rights and social responsibilities. Other important relevant government agencies in place that work to protect law and order were also discussed such as the Anti Terror Cell (ATC), Anti Terrorist Scott (ATS), Intelligence Bureau (IB), National Investigation Agency (NIA), Research Analysis Wing (RAW).
Important provisions of the constitution of India that guarantees Fundamental Human rights to every citizen were also explained to let the participants know that Muslims have equal rights and can raise their voice fearlessly against injustices and discriminations that take place.
The objective of PFI will be to provide legal assistance apart from providing support for education and other activities.
The legal awareness workshop was organized by Maulana Irfan Daulat Nadvi, President PFI Malegaon. The program was coordinated by Farooqi Ab Rahman and local volunteers.
