KERALA – On the eve of the 100th anniversary of the 1921 Malabar struggle, Ustad Abdul Naser Madani released the logo of ‘Mappila Haal’, an interactive virtual exhibition organized by the Students Islamic Organization of India (SIO) Kerala.

The Mappila Haal Virtual Exhibition organized by SIO is a unique presentation that marks the 1921 Malabar Rebellion with digital visibility for the first time.  

The interactive virtual exhibition ‘Mappila Haal’, which contains comprehensive readings on the struggle, historical writings, documents, personalities and events of the rebellion is being prepared with the aim of making it accessible to all.  

‘Mappila Haal’, a critical alternative to the colonial and Savarna narratives, will be available to the public from December 15, depicting the long intellectual and rebellious tradition of Malabar against the colonial forces and caste domination, including the British.

SIO State General Secretary Anwar Salahuddin, Secretary Rashad VP, Exhibition Director and State Committee Member Niaz Velam, Exhibition Curator Shaheen Abdullah and Musammil were present at the logo launch.
