New Delhi : A 25-year-old youth was stabbed and critically injured as he tried to resist a robbery bid by half-a-dozen assailants in the capital Tuesday.
About six robbers entered into a house in posh Ashok Vihar colony in northwest Delhi around 4:30 a.m. after cutting the window iron grills, police said.
The assailants threatened the owner Vimla Pathak, who woke up after hearing some noise in the house, of dire consequences if she tried to raise an alarm.
“As my son, Rajesh, came to rescue, they stabbed him with a knife. Thinking him dead the assailants escaped with a mobile phone,” Pathak said.
The injured was rushed to Sunder Lal Jain hospital, where his condition was stated to be critical, the police said.
