Brussels : The European Union is following very closely any development in oil producing countries, a spokesman for the European Commission (EC) told a news conference here Thursday.
EC spokesman for energy Ferran Tarradellas Espuny said “we dont have any reason to believe that there is any danger of supply of oil to the EU.” He was responding to a question on media reports that OPEC is considering an emergency meeting in Vienna in November to boost oil prices which have dropped to their lowest level in nearly a year.
