Five die in suicide attack in Kabul

Kabul : At least five people were killed and 12 injured in a powerful explosion inside a building here housing the Afghan ministry of information and culture Thursday morning.

Private television channel Tolo TV said two suicide attackers entered the building and one blew himself up killing five people, adding the other bomber was arrested by the police.

The injured were rushed to hospitals and the police cordoned off the blast site.

This was the first terrorist attack in the Afghan capital over the past three months.

A deadly suicide car blast that targeted the Indian embassy July 7 left over 50 dead and 141 injured, mostly civilians.

There was no immediate claim by any group or individual for the latest blast.
